•we
will get to know one another and go over the following: •medical history •what is expected
of me in labor •We will talk
about when to call me, identifying signs of labor, policies pertaining
to their provider/hospital, and any emotional concerns/fears they may
be having. •I will speak
with couples about previous pregnancies and births and find out what
their perception of birth is. We will do an exercise or two exploring
the family’s perceptions a little deeper as well as wishes for
the upcoming birth.
Second meeting-
•I will answer
any birth related questions that have come up since the last meeting
and then go over planning for the new babe...putting together a
postpartum plan and discussing breastfeeding concerns/fears. •We will go
over comfort measures exploring what is comfortable and what is not
in hopes of having a better idea of what can work for you in labor.
Techniques explored include but are not limited to various positions,
massage, vibrational toning, and aromatherapy.
Third meeting-
•Therapeutic
touch session. This meeting is with just the pregnant woman. It is used
to foster a sense of being grounded and help her to connect on a deeper
level, to her body and baby.
Testimonials
I wanted an all-natural
birth with minimal medical interventions, for the health of my baby
and for myself. In this day and age of medical advancement and often
enough, over interference, a natural birth in a hospital is very hard
to achieve. My husband and I decided that in order to achieve our dream
of bringing our girl into the world the way nature intended, we would
need some outside support.
I can’t recommend Patrice London enough. She is calm, kind, comforting
and above all else, believes in the woman’s body to do what nature
designed it to do. Her quiet confidence encouraged me to find my own
strength and I will be eternally grateful to her for her assistance
in helping me to bring my girl into the world the way I wanted to.

We're so blessed to
have had Patrice at our daughter's birth! In the weeks leading up to
the birth, she prepared us with breathing techniques, visual exercises
for coping with the pain, and a range of informational resources. During
labor, she was gentle, knowledgeable, and reassuring. Patrice's support
was an integral part of our dream-come-true perfect first birth!
